Boris Treivus

 

Boris Treivus was born in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he received his professional music education. In Canada, he pursued his education in Drama. His experience includes playing piano, organ, accordion, conducting choir, writing and staging plays for theatre. He also led Jazz Vesper services and staged the Willowcreek short drama series. Since 2002, he’s been an accompanist at Canada’s National Ballet School. Boris has also played in jazz bands, an Argentinian Tango quartet “Bandonoir” and the Toronto Mandolin Orchestra. Since 2023, Boris has been an accompanist and assistant conductor of the Miles Nadal JCC choir. He’s delighted to be the new Music Director of the 10:30 service at Christ First and is looking forward to an exciting musical journey.
