1912/13 brought momentous change. In 1913, the Port Credit congregation separated from the Cooksville Circuit and became its own separate station with its own pastor. Modern life also arrived with the installation of electricity and electric lights, and cars! The church said good-bye to the coal-oil lamps and turn[ed] on the newly installed electric lights and a motion was passed “that we lock up the stable and Mr. Miller keep the key.”
