Youth Outreach
Coldest Night of the Year
The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities
serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Each year in February, tens of
thousands of Canadians step outside the warmth and comfort of home to shine a light of
welcome and compassion in their communities. This year, our kids went out during Sunday School time to walk and raise money for our community! All funds raised were split between Armagh and The Dam.
Armagh is a transitional supportive housing program that offers safe and affordable housing for women who have experienced abuse, providing long-term housing stability combined with comprehensive support services to help residents build the skills and supports needed for successful independent living. The Dam creates a safe space for at-risk youth by providing drop-in programs everyday after school. They offer opportunities for youth to learn new skills, access tutoring and mentorship, and receive mental health support.

Birthday in a Box
Each year, our Sunday School class puts together "Birthday-in-a-box" kits. Each kit contains all the supplies needed to bake a cake and throw a party - cake mix, frosting, candles, sprinkles, napkins. These are donated to The Compass.
