Coldest Night of the Year

The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities
serving people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness. Each year in February, tens of
thousands of Canadians step outside the warmth and comfort of home to shine a light of
welcome and compassion in their communities. This year’s official walk date was February 28,
2026, with funds being collected for this initiative through the end of March.

As a part of our goal to participate in more Outreach initiatives during Sunday School, this year our kids will be participating in the Coldest Night of the Year! On Sunday, March 22nd, our Sunday School class will go on our own version of a "Coldest Morning of the Year" walk during our Sunday morning worship.

All of the funds raised will be split equally between Armagh and The Dam. Armagh is a transitional supportive housing program that offers safe and affordable housing for
women who have experienced abuse, providing long-term housing stability combined with
comprehensive support services to help residents build the skills and supports needed for
successful independent living. The Dam creates a safe space for at-risk youth by providing
drop-in programs everyday after school. They offer opportunities for youth to learn new skills,
access tutoring and mentorship, and receive mental health support.
